Mid Sussex District Council have opened applications for a brand-new Community Development Officer role at Homes England’s Brookleigh development in Burgess Hill

Are you interested in delivering transformative change in Mid Sussex? Homes England's Brookleigh development will provide 3,500 much-needed new homes in an environmentally sustainable community in Mid Sussex. As the first residents are moving into their new homes on site, Mid Sussex District Council is recruiting for this exciting new role.

The Community Development Officer will facilitate the development of a sustainable, inclusive and happy community at Brookleigh which residents are proud to be a part of. The role is being funded by Homes England, the master developer for Brookleigh. Homes England is committed to providing all the infrastructure Brookleigh needs and working with the new community as it grows.

The Council have ambitious plans for Brookleigh, and the Communities Team is looking for a talented and experienced individual to join them. The job holder will have the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of community projects at Brookleigh with opportunities to develop and grow. The Community Development Officer will deliver community programmes and proactively seek and bid for external funding to support and deliver a programme of community events.

The Council are looking for ambitious and driven individuals, who have experience of developing sustainable and inclusive communities through community engagement and the delivery of community projects.
