Green Circle Improvements
Improvements to a 4.3km section of the Green Circle between Keymer Road and Gatehouse Lane are complete. This key east to west link helps to join together some of the town’s key employment, leisure and retail areas.

The scheme includes measures to:
Widen the route to a 3-metre minimum width, improved drainage and a crushed stone surface finish;
Remove barriers to provide accessible facilities to all (whilst blocking inappropriate use);
Improve crossing facilities along the route;
Tie the scheme in with existing links and crossings and those proposed to be delivered by the Victoria Business Park and Green Links schemes and a proposed Hassocks to Burgess Hill walking and cycle link to the east of the London to Brighton rail line.

Better Links To Your Town Centre
Transport
The £21.8m package of transport improvements for the town centre will help create more sustainable transport measures, improve connectivity, congestion and journey times. This will include improved access arrangements for Burgess Hill and Wivelsfield train stations as well as new and improved cycle routes across town.
Upgrading Road Infrastructure

A £23m investment into the A2300 will help drive forward the new high-tech corridor of business park developments by widening and upgrading this main access route into Burgess Hill from the A23. These improvements will help relieve congestion and also help provide a better onward link to the wider south east region.
